I began to put up more recordings of RCM music when I had students come to me who had practiced songs with RUclips that were not always what I was wanting them to be hearing or be influenced by. I do. Did just go looking online to find you a link and it’s hard to locate. I think my copy came from sheet music plus but don’t think it is on there. There is one with flute but mine didn’t have flute and it unavailable there. If I was to send you a pdf I have I have no idea how that works with RUclips.

Merci Beaucoup! It is the theme song for a number of decades since the early 1970s for the Ontario Youth Choir. It still touches my heart every time I hear it.

It really is..that back wall with the brick stuck out. It was built in the early 60s and was really well done. The stain glass in that back if just these waves of undulating colour and also quite unique.

The one young lady is no longer with us...and it gives me a warm sense of peace to still be able to sit and listen to her with the touch of a button and makes all her videos that little bit more special.

I have a lot of Christmas songbooks including some vintage ones and nothing like that and even looked online and in my choral stuff. Anyone out there know it or have music for it? I do not.

.No. But maybe Kennedy and Own have some doppelgängers out there. And this was back in 2015 that they performed this.

My personal favourites are the Amazing Grace, Poor Wayfaring Stranger, All Through the Night, and Homeward Bound. I’m glad you found my page! Check out my playlists for the RCM syllabus so you can hear songs for the grades as she continues her music journey! I’ve made them for students to be able to find favourite songs or use them as a learning aid. So much wonderful music!! Donna Rhodenizer is Canadian and has so many wonderful songs! You can find more at Red Castle Punlishing.

It is no longer in the revised 2019 syllabus but there is now a teachers choice option so it can still be used if you do it that way. The RCM syllabus is revised every 7 years and songs no longer in the current syllabus can be used as a teachers choice. Just need to be careful to ensure a song is appropriate to the level if you will be using it on exam.

@@SongbirdFlyingSoFree Thanks for that. I'm further along in the syllabus myself, and I don't teach voice, but I have a friend who does, and he'd probably find your channel useful for his students. Also, it's interesting to know that for any level--if a piece disappears from the syllabus, it might still be fine to sing for an exam if it's at a comparable level.

@@emilyadams9986 it was part of why I’ve set this up. I had purchased all the music yet couldn’t think of how it went and then digging through books and files when looking for stuff always left a mess of books. So much quicker to just play through the titles to find what I’m looking for. And a great song may get purchased more often if people can hear it and then know they want to do it and get the sheet music. All this stuff was sitting in file boxes and not getting used!

@@SongbirdFlyingSoFree I just keep my sheet music on my computer, and print something when I want to use it. I still have piles of sheet music, but they're smaller piles than they would be if I got hard copies to begin with.

It is found in the book shown, Spirituals for Two from Alfred Publishing. This piece is arranged by Jean Anne Shafferman. I highly recommend this book. I’ve used most of the pieces in it and may record them soon. They all work great as duets as they are very balanced but also all work for choral groups.

And if you look back at the video I had the composer information and usually a portion of the front page so you can gljmpse the piano accompaniment and an image of the book so you’ll know the source. For ones by students the arranger is in the title and sometimes further information in the description. You can also check out my duets playlist for more duet ideas. Developing the ear to make harmony is an essential skill for young people so I love doing duets!
